**

Make sure to tune in this Friday night at 10 PM as we’re joined by Cort Webber and Bobby “Fatboy” Roberts of the Cort and Fatboy show! Likely topics are their new home at pdx.fm, movies, geekery, Portland and the fact that they’re just too pretty for radio. As always you can watch the show live right here. See you then?

****

Psst.. Hey you over there. Yeah you! Can I let you in on a couple of secrets? You can subscribe to our videocast on itunes. And if you’re just an audiophile you can subscribe to the audiocast too.

Oh, just one more thing, you may have noticed we’re only doing a single hour long episode now. It’s totally by design but we find that at the end of 60 minutes the guests are still a little chatty so often we keep the livestream going once we’ve stopped recording. The only way for you to see that footage is to join us live on Friday nights! See you then?

After a very long week full of Webvisions goodness we settled into our cozy little studio with an old friend of the show, Nate Angell. As always he was bursting with excitement for the projects he’s working on. We managed to tackle three of them in the Tech Edition: hideNtweet, a reevaluation of the standardized testing system in our schools and DayOn.

Then we moved on to afterhours where the chatroom was invaded by trolls. Most of the trolls were kind of lame or just plain crass but a few of them had inventive insults that Dr Normal and I were able to laugh about even later. Dr Normal had to shut the chat down on too many occasions to count but he always turned it back on. Which leads to the title for our Afterhours episode: Afterhours With Xolotl and Chatroom FAIL.

I’ve got the Tech Edition for you as per normal but I’m afraid you’ll have to wait a bit for the audio files on Afterhours. If you’re dying to see (or relive) the utter trainwreck that was Afterhours you can see it here on the blip.tv site.

SLL Episode 104: The 3 Projects of Nate Angell

I’ll update this post with the audio file for Afterhours Episode 105 when it goes up, but now, onto other things!

**

The two days we spent interviewing folks at the WebVisions Conference were a whole lot of fun and yielded about 12 hours of video. Dr Normal and Joe are hard at work getting all that footage cut down into individual interviews. When that happens they’ll be posted here and there… I’ll be sure to let you know where you can find them.

***

Join us Friday May 29th as we talk to the lovely ladies of Open Source Bridge! We’ll be joined in studio by Selena Deckelmann and Audrey Eschright. During the Tech Edition we’ll get a chance to chat about OSBridge, a Portland Open Source Conference in its first year. We’re super excited about all the goings on during and around the conference, and NOT just because we’ll be there live for 2 of the 3 days to talk to speakers and attendees. You can watch us on the live stream and join the chatroom, as long as you behave yourselves.
