There is no live show tonight so I thought I’d give you something else to sink into this evening.
Conference season is here in Portland babies! It’s upon us and it’s going to start off with bang with WebVisions 10. That’s right! Web Visions is celebrating their 10th incarnation May 19th, 20th and 21st and once again the SLL cast and crew will be there. It was a wild ride last time, leaving us inspired, enlightened and more than a little tired. We expect nothing less from this year. For a full look at what Web Visions will be like this year check out their site.
But while you’re here? I picked a few of my favorite interviews from last year at WV09. It was fun to revisit them, maybe you’ll enjoy them too? As for WV10? I expect great things and I hope to see you there.
Friday night we were joined in studio by the lovely Michelle Anderson, author and creator of the Miracle In July interactive story. Listen in as she tells you about the completion of her posts and book and not so proudly pleads for your support as she tries to raise funds for a trip to help her complete the story. Go to her Kickstarter site to find out more.
The last online segment went live today. Congrats Michelle, on the completion of a huge step in this project that we all know is a blood sweat and tears soaked labor of love for you.
Oh, just one more thing, you may have noticed we’re only doing a single hour long episode now. It’s totally by design but we find that at the end of 60 minutes the guests are still a little chatty so often we keep the livestream going once we’ve stopped recording. The only way for you to see that footage is to join us live on Friday nights! See you then?
For some reason or other my bangs are super fluffy today. I can’t figure out why. There is nothing about it, no reason that makes since, no explanation for why they would be behaving this way. So babies, I’m doing the only thing that makes any sense at all under these heightened hair circumstances… I’m taking the night off.
That’s right, you read me. I’m calling in “Bad hair day”.
No? Not buying it? Oh well. We’ve just been super busy here at the house of SLL and decided to give ourselves tonight to hang back and relax. We’ll be back next week with a brand new episode talking with the saucy author of The Miracle In July, Michelle Anderson. We may have a few surprises up our sleeves for the weeks that follow as well.
So enjoy your Friday night everyone, and your weekend too and make sure to get your asses back over here next Friday. I’ll see you then won’t I?
Friday night we strayed from our usual routine and packed up the gear to head down to Whiffies Fried Pies at Cartopia for a special celebration of Foursquare Day!
We Portlanders sure do love a good geogeeking game, so when someone had the bright idea to celebrate 4/16 as Foursquare day of course there were people in town who jumped on board to plan events. We decided to film our episode on Friday at just such an event, a super swarm attempt at Whiffies!

Join us tonight at 10PM either right here on the site or down at Whiffies Fried Pies for a Foursquare Super Swarm and Live recording of the show. That’s not enough? Help us welcome musical guest Daryl Lee Thompson!

This coming Friday night we’ll be joined by Sabrina Miller of pdx.fm to find out what she and the pdx.fm family are up to. Come see us right here, live at 10 PM Friday April 9th.

On the latest episode of Strange Love Live we talk Zomebies.
Wait… Zombies? Really? Yes really. Friday night we were joined in studio by Martin Vavra and Rachel Bennett from The Last Stand, a post apocalyptic zombie web series produced and filmed here in Portland, Oregon. We also discussed film making, editing, following your dream and Storm Troopers. You know. Happy stuff.

There’s no new show this week babies. With most of the SLL crew at SxSWi for the week we decided it would be nice to take Friday off and have a quiet weekend. Don’t be sad… we’ll be back next week with something I know you’ll all enjoy, a chat with Martin Vavra of The Last Stand.
In them mean time you could scroll down and watch back episodes… or you could check out memePDX the other show I’m on. Or you could go out and enjoy one hell of a Friday night. I’ll be off celebrating the birthday of one of my favorite past guests, the lovely KLMartini!
Join host Cami Kaos, with producer Dr Normal, every Friday at 10PM Pacific Time for Strange Love Live as she interviews the movers and shakers of the social web, live from Portland Oregon.
