Posted by CamiKaos on April 19, 2010

Friday night we strayed from our usual routine and packed up the gear to head down to Whiffies Fried Pies at Cartopia for a special celebration of Foursquare Day!

We Portlanders sure do love a good geogeeking game, so when someone had the bright idea to celebrate 4/16 as Foursquare day of course there were people in town who jumped on board to plan events.  We decided to film our episode on Friday at just such an event, a super swarm attempt at Whiffies!

While we were there we chatted with Brett Burmeister of Food Carts Portland, Gregg Abbott proprietor of Whiffies Fried Pies, Dale Chumbley, Jake Kuramoto and musical guest Daryl Lee Thompson.  Plus at some point during the show I take a time out to talk to Mark Hanrahan from KPTV.

Psst.. Hey you over there. Yeah you! Can I let you in on a couple of secrets? You can subscribe to our videocast on itunes. And if you’re just an audiophile you can subscribe to the audiocast too.

Oh, just one more thing, you may have noticed we’re only doing a single hour long episode now. It’s totally by design but we find that at the end of 60 minutes the guests are still a little chatty so often we keep the livestream going once we’ve stopped recording. The only way for you to see that footage is to join us live on Friday nights! See you then?
