Guest From A Land Down Under

Can you please sing that title? It sounds much better when you sing it… when you say it, I feel kind of silly…
Friday night we were joined by Erk of Erkpod, ErkFM, Echo Romeo Kilo and Erk’s Blast from the past. Yes that’s 4 (count them there really are 4) podcasts. You can find them all on Channel Erk. We had an interesting situation with this episode since Erk got into town on Tuesday evening and has been staying with us. It was like a week long prep session for the show punctuated with a few events and several fun late nights.
Still, we managed to break Friday night into two episodes. The Tech Edition covered Erk’s podcasting and the second… well the Afterhours was kind of cultural insanity as we reviewed countless Australian stereotypes. Tune in and find out for yourself.
SLL Episode 97: Australian Culture Hour With Erk
Want to watch the show instead? You can always go to our BlipTV page for the video podcasts.
There’s more though. Erk inspired us with his well written and thoughtful show notes. We’ve never had show notes. We’ve always wanted show notes but we’re usually a little busy with the actual making of the show. And then with the occasional sleeping and living of life. We had to think of a better way to get show notes written. How to build a better mousetrap, if you will. Well lucky for us we live in the land of plenty, technologically speaking. We’re amazingly lucky to have a new fabulous show notes page set up for us by Mark Dilley and Stephen Walling of AboutUs! Want to help add to our show notes? Just go to the wiki page. You can edit, update and add to the content that’s already there!
And now comes the part of the post where I tell you to tune in next week for another episode of Strange Love Live… Normally I’d just tell you to tune in on the web (which you can certainly do here or on our Mogulus page). But this next episode is a special occasion. We’re going to be broadcasting live at 9 PM from a couch at CubeSpace for BarCamp Portland III. We’re starting the show an hour early to line up with the end of Friday night’s BarCamp activities and if you’re rattling around the Portland I hope you’ll join us. Make sure you RSVP on the upcoming page so they know how many people to expect.

Erk @ Channel Erk said,
Hey Cami and Doc, it was really great to be on your show and hang out. I can’t wait to hear what Cami thought of the After Hours video. There was SO much material that was funny that was never recorded that we’ll remember for a while!
